Dora Lady Falcons take second at districts

The Dora Lady Falcons took second place at the Class 1 District 2 tournament when the Norwood Lady Pirates slipped by them 12-11 in the final innings of the championship game held Saturday, Oct. 16, at Hartville High School. “The girls played well,” said Dora coach Dylan Fox. “We were led at the plate by Cassidy Hambelton, Mckenna Miller and Chesney Luna. All the girls played hard and had a good game; sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce in your favor, and you come up short. That is all that really happened in this game for us. Just part of it. The girls played well, and that is really all that you can ask.” The loss ended the Lady Falcons’ season with a 12-14 record.
