Dora Lady Falcons take second at Class 1 District 2 tournament

The Dora Lady Falcons finished their season with a thriller of a game against Norwood in the Class 1 District 2 championship contest Thursday night. After Norwood’s Lady Pirates jumped out to a 6-0 lead, the Dora team steadily whittled at the lead.
The Lady Falcons scored five runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take the lead 11-8, but the Norwood bats brought home the district title for the Lady Pirates, who won, 12-11.
The young Dora team had a great season, ending with a 16-7 record, losing only one game to a Class 1 school.
