Dora Falcons beat Alton, 13-3
<p class="p1">The Dora Falcons started off the fall baseball season with a 13-3 win over the Alton Comets. Dora was led by Auston Luna with three hits followed by Robert Vigdal and Colby Collins with two each, and Bryson Luna, Austin White and Tyler Luna with one each.</p><p class="p1">“Overall it was a good start to the season,” said coach Rick Luna. “We accumulated 10 hits on the day and only gave up four. Austin White got the win, striking out five batters in four innings.”</p><p class="p1">Relief pitcher Robert Vigdal struck out one batter in one inning pitched, and Mason Luna struck out two in the last inning. “The combined eight strikeouts, with only two walked batters in six innings is a very good start for our pitching staff,” Luna said.</p><p class="p1">The Falcons traveled to Gainesville Tuesday to take on the Bulldogs. Results of that game were unavailable at press time. Thursday, the Dora team will host Licking. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.</p>
