Zanoni news: April 4, 2018

We are very happy after getting a little over 5 inches of rain last week.  The rivers were muddy, and the small branches ran through good. Highway 181 at Hodgson Mill was closed for a while.
Paul and I went to Springfield Thursday and took several bags of clothes to the Thrift Haven. Casey met us at the Golden Corral for supper. We had a good visit and got home about eight o’clock.
I talked with Arlene Smith. Her sister, Doris West, and her son Justin and family had been there for a visit. Justin and Ashley have five young daughters and live in Carthage. The five girls and Arlene and Huey’s three granddaughters had a great time playing together.
Mike and Karla Hogan and their daughter, Beth with her two sons, Jennifer and Kyra ate dinner with the Smiths on Easter Sunday.
We took Richard and Fran to Cookie’s for supper Saturday night to celebrate Richard’s birthday. They had attended an Easter get together at Larry Warrick’s that day.
We took the Smith Chapel Cemetery lawn mowers to Larson’s in West Plains for service. Mowing time is almost here.
Everyone have a good week and look for the dogwood trees blooming in a few days.
