Cheering at Disney

Gainesville High School student Jaima DeVries was one of more than 800 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the country who were invited to participate in the first ever Varsity Spirit Spectacular at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, Dec. 3-7. Jaima performed as part of a select group of 10th through 12th grade cheer team captains, co-captains and officers during a parade performance through Disney’s Magic Kingdom Dec. 5. Jaima was invited to the Orlando event after attending the Varsity Spirit summer camp hosted by Universal Cheerleaders Association, Universal Dance Association, National Cheerleaders Association, National Dance Alliance and United Spirit Association.
