BMS Lady Lions defeat Lutie, Dora

The Bakersfield Middle School Lady Lions basketball team hosted the Lutie Lady Indians Sept. 11, and won 62-11. The Bakersfield girls came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring the Indians by 25 points.
Ashton Yeager led the scoring with 16 points for the Bakersfield girls, followed by Shelby Summers and Jade Hodgson with 11 each. Haley Kimmel, Clara Osterkamp and Sierra Carter added 8 each. Carter led in rebounds with 4
On Sept. 15, the Lions hosted Dora and added a 43-25 win to their record. Summers led the scoring with 12, followed by Ostercamp with 10.
Cassidy Hambelton led the scoring for Dora with 18 points.
