Bakersfield baseball squad wins district title

The Bakersfield Lions' baseball team is headed to the state tournament after winning the class 1 district 4 championship Tuesday, clobbering Eminence, 12-0.

The Lions jumped out to an early lead against the Redwings and never looked back. Individual stats from the game were not provided by Bakersfield coaches.

Bakersfield (15-7) will play at 4 p.m. Monday (May 20) against Naylor (9-7) in the opening round of the state tournament. The game will be at Naylor.
